Sammy Lamy grew up in Miami watching his mother Micheline — one of the first Haitians to arrive in South Florida by boat in the late 1970s — help newly arrived immigrants find their footing. Jobs, church, community. That was the foundation.
Today, Jobs For Us has registered over 6,200 job seekers, hosted 9 job fairs from Miami to Indiana, and been featured in the Miami Herald and on PBS's The Good Road. Co-founded with his sister Erlendre, the organization continues to grow.
